Box Score

Mar. 1, 2010

FORT WORTH, Tx - The Texas State Bobcats took on the Horned Frogs from TCU on Saturday in an LSA South versus North battle.  The Bobcats quickly jumped out to a lead in the first quarter with strong, settled offensive play.  After one quarter of play, Texas State led TCU by a score of 4-1.

The second quarter would find the Bobcats spending time in the penalty box, forcing the man down unit and senior goalie Asa Spain    to come up with big defensive stops to help Texas State take a 9-4 lead into the half.  The second half would proved to go Texas State’s way with balanced play on both sides of the field.  The Bobcats would close out the day and defeat TCU by a score of 15-8.

The win moved the Bobcats to an overall record of 6-0, one of the best starts in the program’s history.  Texas State will now prepare for an out of conference trip to take on #15 nationally ranked University of California – Berkley and Stanford over a four day span.  Follow the Bobcats on the trip to California via www.twitter.com/txstatelacrosse for all trip highlights and live game tweets.
