Texas State Struggles vs. Baylor But Moves to 8-1Box Score Mar. 23, 2010
WACO, TX - The Texas State Bobcats traveled to Waco on Sunday morning to take on the Baylor Bears in an LSA South Divisional ball game. The Bobcats jumped out to an early lead and would go into the half leading by a five goal margin. The second half would see the Bears make a charge, but Texas State was able to hold off any Baylor rally with a run in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 11-6 and secure the win. With the victory the Bobcats have become playoff eligible in the LSA South and remained perfect on the season in LSA play. Texas State was led in scoring on the day by junior midfielder Chad Hennig with three goals as well as a strong performance at the face off x with ten wins on the day. The Bobcats return to action on Tuesday, March 30th when they take on non conference opponent Loyola Marymount at the Bobcat Soccer Complex. Face off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
